Paranormal News This Week! Dec. 9, 2016

December 9, 2016

Happy December! Here are the top five paranormal news stories of the week:

1) Kate McKinnon has been tapped to star in the upcoming film, The Lunch Witch. The heroine inherits her family's magical recipe book and cauldron, but can't make a go of it peddling magic, so she becomes a lunch lady. If you haven't guessed, this is a comedy, which should make a nice vehicle for McKinnon.

2) I know that international news tends to get ignored, but this article, straight out of Kenya, describes what local witch doctors can do. Maybe.

3) Planning a hike in California? Try out one of these paranormal-infested hiking trails. (I nearly became a ghost on Bridalveil Falls a couple winters back. Damn, that trail was slippery with ice).

4) There's yet another new Tarot deck on the market. This one has a feminist twist, with images of iconic women from history, like Josephine Baker and Emily Dickinson.

5) Listen up, steampunk fans! From the ever-charming Atlas Obscura, an article on a current exhibit at the British Library on the magic of Victorian entertainment.
