February Tarotscopes

February Tarotscopes

Have you ever misspelled something, and then when you looked at your misspelling, it seemed like a word that should exist? I did that today, spelling Tarotscopes, Tarotscapes. I still kind of like Tarotscapes, but for the purposes of SEO, I guess I'd better keep Tarotscopes.

Anyway, welcome to the February Tarotscope! I’m drawing one card for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Aquarius is an air sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s air suit, swords, for Aquarius. (Standard disclaimer: Tarotscopes are for entertainment purposes only).

Aquarius, January 20 – February 18: The High Priestess and the Four of Swords. This is your month for deep revelations and inner growth. But you'll need to quiet your mind to get there. Step away. Let go of external (and internal) demands. Release your need to be busy (for a little while, at least) and make time for yourself.

Pisces, February 19 – March 20: The Chariot and the Ten of Cups. The Chariot speaks to the powerful combination of will + desire, and the Ten of Cups is the culmination of love and family, home and earth. This combination is a powerful one, Pisces. You can have it if you want it, but you need to be conscious of what you really want. Positive thinking alone won't cut it - you need to take intentional action too.

Aries, March 21 – April 19: The Fool and the Knight of Wands. Impulses are strong this month, Aries, and the good news is some of them are quite good ones. Don't be afraid to look a little foolish as you charge forth on this month's quest. Stepping out always results in some sort of exposure. But if you don't take that step, well, you're not actually going anywhere, are you?

Taurus, April 20 – May 20: The Lovers and the Ace of Pentacles. Aces aren't just cards of beginnings, they're the beginning of everything -- offering all the power of their suit. When partnered with The Lovers, this combination makes February a truly swoon-worthy month, Taurus. But you need to get things started. Trust that your mad, passionate ideas will have a positive outcome (even if they go in unexpected directions).

Gemini, May 21 – June 20: The Hermit and the Two of Swords. You may feel the urge to hibernate this month. After all, you've got work to do, the weather is dreadful, and Valentine's Day is just a marketing gimmick created by card companies. Bottom line? It's hard to experience the joys this amazing planet offers if you aren't willing to be the love you wish to see in the world. So turn off the voice of negativity in your head and start singing in the rain.

Cancer, June 21 – July 22: The Emperor and the Ace of Cups. Aces are about beginnings, and the Ace of Cups might as well be the Ace of Hearts, because it's all about emotional connection -- you have the opportunity this month to experience every kind of love. But the Emperor is letting you know it's not just going to happen on its own. You need to take charge and be strategic - yes, I said strategic (not to be confused with manipulative - a strategy just means you've got an objective, targets, and a plan to reach them).

Leo, July 23 – August 22: The Hierophant and the Two of Wands. This is a great month to start projects, but you'll increase your odds for success if you reach out to someone who's already done it, or just is more experienced than you. There's no shame in asking for advice (in fact, most people love to be asked).

Virgo, August 23 – September 22: Temperance and the Ten of Pentacles. Success is here (or nearly here), Virgo, but it will bring new challenges and opportunities. Frustrating isn't it? Just when you've climbed that mountain, there's another one on the opposite side. Temperance, however, reminds us that we need to keep our balance - for both the highs and lows, the cheers and tears. How do you do that? You already know. What parts of your life have you been neglecting?

Libra, September 23 – October 22: Death and the Ten of Swords. This month brings what feels like a hard ending - or at least, it will feel hard as long as you're stuck in your head. This ending is actually clearing the way for something shiny and wonderful. So get away from the echo chamber of your own thoughts, send your inner critic on vacation, take a deep breath, and look around.

Scorpio, October 23 – November 21: The Devil and the Three of Cups. Ah, friends, family and loved ones. They're such wonderful support, especially when they're telling you exactly what you want to hear... But is that really helpful? It's not their fault, Scorpio. They do love you. But sometimes when everyone's saying the same thing, that thing seems, well, bigger than it actually is. Bottom line: you may not be seeing the situation clearly.

Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21: The Wheel of Fortune and the Six of Wands. Victory! The Wheel of Fortune keeps rolling - sometimes it's up, and sometimes it's down - but this month is definitely on the up! Enjoy it. Revel in it. You deserve it, and it won't always be this way (and that's not a bad thing - if things were always super awesome, how would we ever appreciate them?).

Capricorn, December 22 – January 19: Judgement and the Queen of Pentacles. Wow. Just, wow. This can be a big month for you, Capricorn. Judgement is about soul-level transformation, and combined with the Queen of Pentacles, the calm, loving, queen of prosperity, good things are coming your way. So keep loving hope alive in your heart, and get ready to rise!
