Paranormal News This Week! Feb 24, 2017

paranormal news

Yes, it's another wild week of paranormal news! Here's what we've got:

1) I'm not sure this qualifies as news, but when I saw this story about Iceland's witchcraft museum, I had to include it. I've visited the museum, and it was terrific, largely because of the owner/curator, who is super charming. He's a wizard himself, and gave my sister and I a guided tour. Although I made it to the witchcraft museum, which is sort of out of the way, somehow I missed the Elf School in Reykjavik, and I'm kicking myself. I'll just have to go back to Iceland...

Iceland

So many reasons why Iceland feels magical...

2) Brian Cox (some scientist guy) claims that the LHC (some scientific thing) disproves the existence of ghosts and other paranormal phenomena.

3) And in more skeptics news, research from the University of Helsinki claims that people who believe in the paranormal understand the natural world less than skeptics do.

4) The National Park Service is spending nearly $150k studying tales of the supernatural in the Bering Straight in order to understand how cultural beliefs influence belief in the paranormal.

5) This L.A. nail salon offers Tarot readings!
