Paranormal News of the Week! 2 June 2017

paranormal news of the week

My first paranormal news blog for June is here!

1) And I've got some exciting news! (For me at least). My favorite series by Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas, is being made into a TV show by NBC, and it's coming this summer! It's set in the same "world" as her Sookie Stackhouse novels, but... it's better. In my opinion, which runs contrary to most people's so take that as you will.

2) Mexico politico accused of practicing black magic. Romance! Animal sacrifice! It's almost like something out of a telenovella...

3) And in archaeological news (sort of), a 180-year-old witch bottle was found at the bottom of a garden in Lincolnshire. Witch bottles were (and still are) used to repel evil spells, though in modern times, witch balls have grown in favor, because you can hang them in your window and they're pretty. Minus the urine and hair.

There's a joke in there somewhere.

5) A new Tarot deck is on the way, modernizing the old esoteric images. Called Mystic Mondays, it's lighthearted with clean lines. I prefer the more mysterious, old school cards, but, it is a lovely deck. On a different note, be sure to check out your Tarotscope for this month!
