It's heating up here in San Benedetto, but we've got plenty of chilling paranormal exhibits at the museum, so stop on by!
And now, here are my top five picks for paranormal news of the week!
A tourist at Loch Ness recently snapped a photo of a mysterious green mass in the water. It's one of those tantalizing shots that makes you lean in closer, wondering if Nessie decided to show off a new color scheme or if it's something else entirely. Either way, it has folks talking again about what might be swimming around in that famous loch.
Down in Mexico, there's an old investigation from the 1990s getting some fresh air about strange winged beings. A ranch worker spotted a half-human, half-bird creature near a cemetery. It had gray plumage, chicken-like legs, and enormous wings. Researchers went out looking but didn't turn up much beyond some eerie stories and a gutted boar hanging high in a tree. Other accounts from the area mention similar bat-winged figures and even a small furry creature in a kitchen.
In England, the seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea has a rich collection of ghost stories, witch trial history, and local legends. From haunted spots like The Cage prison where accused witches were held, to phantom figures on the pier, ghostly monks, and tales tied to smuggling tunnels and a restless spirit in the churchyard, it sounds like the kind of place where the past refuses to stay quiet.
A hunter named Charles Stuart claims he found Bigfoot remains in Upstate New York and that DNA testing showed something like 58.5% Neanderthal mixed with human traits. He's been displaying what he calls "Dack" and dealing with plenty of skeptics. Whether you buy it or not, these stories keep the conversation going about what might be out there in the woods.
And if you're in the mood for some entertaining takes on the subject, there's a YouTube channel called Cabin in the Woods that's putting out Bigfoot content styled like serious documentaries but with plenty of wild paranormal twists.
If you're enjoying these weekly dispatches and want more ghostly mysteries with a side of small-town sleuthing, you might like the stories I've lived through myself in the Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum cozy mystery series. Swing by the museum in San Benedetto sometime – we've got signed copies on the shelves, and we'd love to chat about your own spooky encounters.
