Huzzah! I just sent off Unbound, my Riga Hayworth/Doyle Witch crossover, to my fine editors at misterio press.
Sometimes you start a book thinking it's going to go one way, and then you realize... That just doesn't make sense for the characters. That's what happened with Unbound, but fortunately, I was able to course correct and after a LOT of rewriting, deleting one scene and adding another, I got it pinned down. We'll see what my editors say, but the book is scheduled to launch on June 30th.
In the meantime, I'm working on the first draft of Gnome Alone, book 5 in the Wits' End series. The last three books referenced sci-fi movies, but I just couldn't figure out how to make that work with a holiday theme. The cover design (below) is pretty hilarious, so I think that makes the change worthwhile. That book is scheduled to come out October 31st.
Monday, I start editing Never Say Chai, the next book in the Tea & Tarot series, and set during the Halloween season. That is scheduled to launch on August 31st.
So far, my writing schedule is on track, but it's only March, so, fingers crossed...
