Writing Update!

Writing Update: Photo of writing supplies. Quote by CS Lewis: "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."

The writing continues! Here's where I'm at:

Unbound: Done! This Riga Hayworth/Doyle Witch crossover novel launches June 30th. We'll find out what happened to Brigitte at the end of The Hermetic Detective and will provide a resolution to the situation in Doyle. It will be a new world for the Doyle Witches! You can pre-order it here:

The Sigil Detective: This is a novelette for the upcoming paranormal mystery anthology, Moons, Magic, and Mystery (Coming in September). And it's pretty much... done. I'm sure I'll think of some more tweaks, and a beta reader is reviewing it now. But it's close to good to go. We'll call it... 95%. It takes place a couple months before The Alchemical Detective. Here's the draft blurb:

Metaphysical detective Riga was never all powerful, but she was once a lot more magical than she is now. Now, she’s back to basics… and trapped in a faux-Viking village. But will brains and the basics of magic be enough to bring a murderer to justice?

Deadly Bargain, book 6 in the Paranormal Museum series: The first draft is five chapters away from being done. So. It's almost done. Then it will marinate on my computer for six weeks before editing. That usually takes me another six weeks. I tried a new plotting process on this book, and it's flowing much more easily.

Gnome Alone: I start editing this manuscript on Monday. It's book 5 in the Wits' End series and takes place over the Christmas holidays. Because Susan needed a full-length holiday mystery. Yes, there are gnomes. And Bigfoot!

Never Say Chai: This manuscript is in the hands of my wonderful editors at misterio press. We're at the final stage! Here's my draft of the back cover blurb:

It’s Halloween season in small town San Borromeo, and Abigail and Hyperion are determined to make Beanblossom’s Tea & Tarot spooktacular. But when Hyperion’s boyfriend, Detective Tony Chase, is arrested at Beanblossom’s for murder, the duo is certain someone’s playing a nasty trick. And when the official investigation turns into a witch hunt, the stakes to unearth the truth are raised…

But a clever killer has plans to squash their investigation… and the two amateur detectives. If they don’t solve this puzzle—and fast—it will be out of the cauldron and into the fire for them both.

Never Say Chai is the fourth book in the Tea and Tarot cozy mystery series. A fast-paced and funny cozy mystery, packed with quirky characters, pets, and murder! Perfect for fans of Jana DeLeon, Janet Evanovich, and Donna Andrews. Buy the book and start this hilarious caper!

Tearoom recipes in the back of the book!
