We're back from Italy! It was so much fun traveling with my Italian-American friend who's a practicing Streaga (an Italian witch). But she did tend to take me to the most creeptastic places, like the spooky gardens of Villa Cimbrone, in Ravello. It was... weird. Maybe some day I'll tell you about it. But enough about me. Onward to this week's paranormal news! 1) The house of John Proctor, the man accused of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials and pressed to death, is goi
Paranormal mystery abounds in the wild world of all things supernatural. But since this blog is bound by time and space, I limit my weekly roundup to my personal top five paranormal news stories. So, from the San Benedetto Paranormal Museum, it's the paranormal news of the week! 1) Rapper believes he's cursed after visiting a paranormal museum. Not the San Benedetto paranormal museum -- all our cursed objects have been psychically "cleansed" by our paranormal collector, Herb.
Book 2 in the Wits' End series of cozy mystery novels arrives on September 28th! Here's what it's all about. Aliens, fairies and murder, oh, my! In small-town Doyle, California, UFO abductions are a budding tourist attraction. So when Susan Witsend brings a UFO festival to town, she’s ready for some well-deserved time in the sun. What she gets instead is the corpse of a UFO conspiracy theorist, brained with a bottle of local wine. Susan may be the owner of a UFO-themed B&B, b
Book 4 in The Witches of Doyle Series, Witch, is coming August 28th, and book 5, Fey, will be here just in time for Halloween! Here's what the Witch cover looks like. I decided to focus on Jayce again, because let's face it - she's the biggest troublemaker of the three sisters. Here's the blurb: The faerie curse that plagued the town of Doyle is over. Or is it? Witch Jayce Bonheim has finally got her life back on track. Her coffeeshop’s been rebuilt. She’s got the perfect boy
Huzzah! The San Benedetto Paranormal Museum is back for your weekly supernatural goodness! Here's my top five round-up for the last seven days. 1) Last week, my fellow blogger, witch and barista Jayce Bonheim, wrote about a witch restaurant. It must be a trend, because here's a supernatural cafe with witchy elixirs. 2) And speaking of witches, Slovakian police have put out a warning about witches hanging out in Bratislava parking lots. 3) Have you ever been on a ghost hunt? W
Welcome to another week of paranormal news from the San Benedetto Paranormal Museum. With every ticket this February, we're giving away a magic, Fortune Telling Fish that reveals your romantic state. So stop on by for this free bonus! And don't miss our new gallery display of everything Cupid (because a winged god that shoots people with magic love arrows is definitely paranormal). 1) A witch-themed restaurant? In California? Best. Idea. Ever. 2) This is just weird. An hour a
A holiday tradition turns deadly, but is the paranormal museum to blame?
Maddie Kosloski is no fan of San Benedetto's Christmas Cow, a thirty-foot straw bovine that graces the town square every December. For one thing, the cow displaces her paranormal museum as the number one tourist attraction. Plus, every year, despite around-the-clock surveillance, the cow goes up in flames.
But this year, there's more than just a fire blazing in Maddie's wine-country hometown. One o
In honor of pumpkin spice season, I tried a twist on my standard scone recipe, adding Craisins and substituted Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage for milk. And the scones turned out really good! The pumpkin flavor was mild, but in a good way. I considered adding 1/2 tsp of pumpkin spice, but I wasn't sure what was in it and have developed an allergy to nutmeg. I know. Weird. Ingredients 3 3/4 C flour 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 C sugar 3 T baking powder 1 t cinnamon 8 T cold, un
I've partnered up with 31 other cozy mystery writers for a massive giveaway! As you may know, pets are one of the hallmarks of a cozy mystery (along with small towns, quirky characters, and minimal on-page violence). GD Cat, in my Paranormal Museum mysteries, isn't the coziest of animals. He's kind of a little jerk. But cats can get away with that sort of behavior. The contest runs from July 5th - 14th. Yes, I just got a load of cover flats which... once again I have no idea what to do with. So I'm sharing the cover here. I've been waiting a loooong time for this book, and I'm super excited because it's a) funny and b) a mass market paperback. Why do we care about the latter? Because mass market paperbacks are lower priced than trade, and we all like lower prices. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait a little longer, because the book is coming out this November. Also, this is th

At last, my cover is here! I'm very excited about this original art by Zack Weiss. (Yes, nepotism is at work - he's my nephew). Here's the blurb for the book, coming this December: Bound by magic, bound by love, bound by murder… The Bonheim triplets live seemingly ordinary lives, hiding their magic from the neighbors in the small, mountain town of Doyle, California.
